I studied Music Composition in the Superior Music School (ESM) of the National Belle Arts of Mexico (INBA) and guitar and piano Jazz at Integral Music Development (DIM now EMI).

Hey there! I’m Félix Carreón Jr.—a professional guitarist, composer, and music producer with over 20 years of experience on stage, in the studio, and as an educator.
My Musical Journey
🎓 Formal Training:
- Studied jazz performance at DIM (Mexico City).
- Earned a Bachelor’s in Musical Composition from INBA’s Superior School of Music.
- Also trained in Engineering & Sociology (which explains my love for structured, creative teaching!).
🎸 Performance & Expertise:
- Touring musician since 2006 (guitar, bass, keys) across Mexico and Europe.
- Specializations:
- Electric Guitar (Rock, Jazz, Fusion, Improvisation)
- Jazz Piano/Keyboard (Harmony, Arrangement, Comping)
- Music Production & Composition (Original music for bands, films, and solo projects)
- …and yes, I’ve dabbled in saxophone—enough to know it’s not my main instrument (but I respect those who master it!).

Background
Upon earning my certificate in Pedagogy Music Teaching from Berklee online courses, I quickly decided to embark on a career in music education. Over time, I have expanded my roster of students, developing a packed teaching schedule that I find immensely rewarding. Teaching music to both children and adults has been a fulfilling and enjoyable journey.
